Web Site Fixed

OK It's been awhile since I've done anything with my website, It's been on my to do list far to long. I've completely remade it, so now it's not embarrassing do to the lack of content, and It a bit better. I've still got my work cut out for me though, but now I've got a sense of direction. When I first started it I wanted an anime themed web comic, then when that didn't work I went to a more traditional comic, and no one found those comics funny. So now I'm just going to stick with video games, I can't ignore how many jokes I Have for them.

I'm working on a comic at the moment, but I've had to do a lot to get it ready, and I got a crappy summer job, were I'm not making any money.

Ok I'm almost done the next power up and ........ Ok I'm scrapping it, sorry. It's just becoming to much of a pain for not being as funny as the last 2. I may continue it in the future but the Sonic & Mario jokes just are getting boring. I have two great Mario jokes in my head and one of them is a single frame joke, after that I'll start on my traditional web comics.

Just to clarify, when I'm saying traditional, I mean the basic Idea of two guys talking about video games. I hate how most web comics are like that, but you cant always reinvent the wheel, especially when your still just trying to make a name for yourself. Plus web comics should remain simple, single page jokes works well for the internet, and doesn't require the reader to think to much. No one ever gets confused about the story, reading Garfield.

Ok, I just got the word on the escapist web comic artist winner, and I failed....... crap.
Well from what I've seen, I look like I was disqualified, I asked about the power up to see if it was ok, but they took it as a description of my comic, which is weird considering I submitted a bunch of random comics, that I called Northern Oddities. I was going for a firside angle, but video game jokes seem to be more popular. The person who won call's his comic "out of tens". I hate to say, because it may make me sound like a poor loser, but I'm not impressed, Sorry.

I never liked the idea of the escapist contest, it just sounded wrong, and problematic for me. They wanted two comics a week, it's ok but I wont to go back to school and take animation and I cant do that with that hanging over my shoulders.

well I think I'm going to start writing on my main web comic soon. I know how everyone likes the power up, but I'm just leaching off of sonic & mario. I'll keep making them but I need a more traditional web comic series to back be up.
